New Years Resolution Number One - Take some time for me
So its the beginning of the new year, and long ago I gave up making resolutions to lose weight, wash my makeup off before I go to bed, and cut down on coffee (all failures and really, isn't there more to life?)
But this year I have a new resolution that I am absolutely keeping and it is this... be kind and generous to myself and take some time to rejuvenate me.
So I have gotten blonder streaks (I reckon going blonder is like losing five kilos, always makes me feel lighter), done some serious retail therapy at the sales, have seen all the new release movies in Gold Class (oh la di da!) and even had my nails done.
And yes, like the plumber who never does his own plumbing last year I was shocking at booking in massages for myself. I know I know, you think I spend my days sprawled on a massage bed with Ripple therapists at my beck and call...
...the reality though is with a one year old and a business, massages were few and far between.
But this year, I promised my body I would be kind to it and indulge it regularly. Afterall it has given me two beautiful children, let me travel the world and still lets me have at least one glass of wine without punishing me with a wicked hangover the next day.
