Cleopatra did it. Paris does it. Even David Beckham does it.

Hmm I'm not sure what you are thinking but we are talking about exfoliation.

The ancient Egyptians are said to be the first to use exfoliating skin techniques.

Kings and queens used alabaster and pumice to remove blemishes and rough spots to make their skin smooth.

As your skin ages, dead cells on the top are constantly sloughed off to make way for new ones.

Removing these every so often keeps the skin looking young and takes away the dried spots that can build up.

The other great side benefit of exfoliating is that it stimulates the lymphatic system which gets rid of all the toxins in your body.

Great if you have had one too many big nights out.

There are lots of ways to exfoliate your skin.

I haven't tried the Egyptian alabaster technique, but have tried sea salt scrub, coffee scrubs and exfoliation loofahs, all which work well.

The one thing about exfoliating yourself is no matter how supple you are, it is always tricky getting a good scrub on your back.

Unless you have a very accommodating partner of course!

At Ripple we have just changed our exfoliation to a lime, tangerine and walnut scrub that we include for free in every 2 and 3 hour package.

Using a base of our cream and yummy essential oils, this leaves the skin polished and ready for a great massage.

There is also a new website for you to drool over, with lots of information on what we do, and a whole new section on our Ripple Effect.

Look forward to hearing from you!
