Hunter Valley Massage
Situated a mere three-hour drive from Sydney, the Hunter Valley is where all things delicious and fine meet to create a divine experience.
Some of Australia’s finest wines are produced in the region, which has a very rich history of viticulture. Australia’s most visited wine region is renowned not only for its more than 150 wineries, however, but also for being the perfect getaway.
From fine wine and gourmet food, to beautiful accommodation with spectacular views, a Hunter Valley escape offers a wide range of activities to suit everyone, whether you’re an avid golfer, a lover of wine, or someone who simply believes in enjoying life.
Massage is a big part of the relaxation experience and our mobile Hunter Valley massage service brings the pampering to you.
Here are some of our favourite massage treatments you can find in various spas in the Hunter Valley.
Hunter Valley Massage Suggestions
Moor mud, also known as therapeutic peat moss, consists of the organic residue of herbs, flowers and grasses, and contains virtually no clay. Moor mud is very popular in skin care because is has an uncanny ability to heal, nourish and detoxify. It can cleanse skin of impurities, improves circulation and even aid in pain treatment.
In a moor mud wrap, warm peat is applied to a specific area or the whole body, then wrapped in a thermal blanket and left on for about 20 minutes. After rinsing and relaxing in a dry blanket, the skin feels noticeably moisturized and rejuvenated. Such a simple treatment that leaves you looking and feeling absolutely wonderful.
- Health Retreats
The Hunter Valley is the perfect backdrop in which to unwind and relax. Imagine our delight to discover that besides all the other activities available here, you can even take part in health retreats that can guide you in a fitness and wellness program.
A typical day in the program starts with a sunrise session of tai chi, followed by a gentle stretching class and a wide range of workshops, spa treatments and activities, all accompanied by healthy delicious meals throughout the day. A beautiful way to connect mind, body and spirit.
Autumn means longer, cooler evenings, an excuse to sit in front of an open fire, and the ideal time for a hot stone massage. In this form of massage therapy, warm, aromatic oils and hot volcanic stones are used to heal and energise. Ripple’s Hunter Valley Massage ultimate four hour indulgence package includes two massages (of your choice from our extensive selection) which will take you to a place of bliss like no other.
But wait, there’s more… You’ll also receive a foot reflexology massage to dissolve tension in your entire body; a warm foot soak and scrub to revitalize you; total head care, with two (yes, two) face masks – one a cleansing mud and green clay mask, then a second more replenishing collagen face mask to completely invigorate your face – as well a face massage and a traditional Indian head massage; a full body exfoliation; and, to top it all off, a beautifully wrapped box of Ripple goodies for you to enjoy at home.
- Infrared Sauna
As much as we love a good lie-down under the sun, there are now far safer ways of getting a healthy glow. Relaxing for just 30 minutes in an infrared sauna provides a deep penetrating heat that flushes out toxins in your body, increases circulation and metabolism, decreases blood pressure and rejuvenates the skin.
You’ll emerge with a pleasant feeling of relaxation, with your skin glowing from such a thorough cleanse.
Ripple can help make your special occasion stress-free and smooth-running, as we can do all the planning for you. Whether you’re looking for mini treatments for thirty ladies, or longer pamper sessions for smaller groups, we will make you all feel relaxed, rejuvenated and utterly spoilt.
- Saltwater Spa
Most of us are familiar with chlorinated hot tubs. However, here at Ripple Hunter Valley massage we do enjoy a good saltwater spa treatment. Salt water has a natural softening effect on skin, and you don’t need to worry about your skin drying out after a long spa session. The combination of heat and salt water can also be a wonderful way to relieve tension and reduce swelling – the perfect relaxation after a full day spent strolling through vineyards and craft markets.
So those are our favourite massage and day spa treatments in the Hunter Valley. We know that it can be difficult to try to fit everything into your stay: what with the long list of must-visit wineries, multitudes of excellent restaurants to dine at, world-class gold courses to try out, art galleries to stroll through and historic sites to see, it can be easy to exhaust yourself by trying to pack too much into each day.
